MALANOTTE RABOSO DEL PIAVE D.O.C.G.

TASTING NOTES AND PAIRINGS

Malanotte del Piave D.O.C.G. is made from 100% Raboso Piave grapes grown in the province of Treviso. It is a distinguished wine that vividly tells the story of a tiny medieval village.

It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it is intense and fragrant, with typical notes of marasca cherry and jam nuances. It reveals layers of cocoa, vanilla, and balsamic undertones.

On the palate, it is enveloping, fresh, long, and supported by powerful tannins. The finish reveals notes of red fruit and hints of vanilla.

In its most elegant expression, it pairs with rich red meats such as game. It is excellent with fatty meats in general, as its structure helps cleanse the palate.

ORIGIN AND GRAPE VARIETY

Produced with 100% Raboso Piave grapes from the province of Treviso, this wine is born in a territory rich in history, near the Piave River. Its name, Malanotte, recalls a very small local village. A prestigious and important label that interprets, in a contemporary way, the full character of Raboso, the symbolic grape of this land.

VINIFICATION AND AGING

FULLY RIPE GRAPES, HAND-HARVESTED BETWEEN LATE OCTOBER AND EARLY NOVEMBER, ARE FERMENTED AS RED WINE WITH A MACERATION OF 15-20 DAYS IN STAINLESS STEEL TANKS.

15% OF THE GRAPES ARE DRIED FOR APPROXIMATELY 90-100 DAYS. DURING THE FOLLOWING SUMMER, THE WINE BEGINS MATURATION IN WOOD FOR 24 MONTHS. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY BOTTLING AND A FURTHER MATURATION IN BOTTLE FOR 4 MONTHS.

STORE IN COOL, DIMLY LIT CONDITIONS. ITS EXCELLENT STRUCTURE ALLOWS FOR MEDIUM TO LONG AGING IN CELLAR.
